Operating two long established sand & gravel quarries TG Aggregates provides a service and supply network throughout the West Midlands, North West, North Wales and Mid Wales areas ensuring our range of quality products is available to our customers locally.

As well as a commitment to supplying the very highest quality sands, gravels and aggregates, we also pride ourselves in operating our quarries in a manner that embraces the principles of environmental responsibility and sustainability.

TG Aggregates has a proud history, having been the backbone of the UK construction industry for years. Our Wood Lane quarry played a vital role in the post war redevelopment of Manchester and Liverpool, as well as supporting numerous construction projects further afield. Today, our aggregates are used for a wide range of construction products including bricks, building blocks and concrete.

Our Wood Lane quarry continues to be the largest sand & gravel quarry in North Shropshire and enables us to sustain supplies of aggregates to our concrete plants in Wales and the surrounding border counties including Shropshire, Cheshire and Worcestershire. The Wood Lane quarry is managed under the principle of progressive restoration to enhance the environment and encourage biodiversity, thus providing an opportunity for recreation and education for the wider community. As a result, we have been able to establish a nature reserve on part of the restored quarry, with more than 180 species of birds recorded since the nature reserve was established in 1999.

As part of our commitment to protecting the areas in which we operate, we actively support the Meres & Mosses Business Environment Network, whose mission is to enhance the environmental understanding and performance of businesses operating within this area of national importance. As well as helping to protect key species, enhancing important sites for nature, improving water quality and improving public access to the countryside, our involvement contributes to improving both the environmental performance and profitability of local businesses and promoting a greater understanding of the importance of sustainability.

We also operate the only sand & gravel quarry in Gwynedd, the Cefn Graianog quarry located between Porthmadog and Caernarfon, as well as a sea-dredged sand marketing business on the dock quay-side at Port Penrhyn, Bangor.
